The Impact of Process Flow on Cleanroom Design

Any process, however simple or complex, will be made up of a series of automated or manual activities and interventions, which can be presented by mapping.

Through identifying primary processes and support activities, generic and specific handling, and so on, the process can be optimised. For a new cleanroom facility, when process flow is considered during the design and layout stage, this optimisation can be extended to the facility itself – resulting in an efficient layout that meets the needs of process, product and people.
